Many classic arcade cabinets featured striking and often elaborate art work. Games such as Joust, Galaga and Defender are famous just as much for their game play as for their art work. The side-art, similar to the marquee art, was designed to attract people to a particular game. Side-art was applied in a variety of ways the main methods being silk screen printing, adhesive stickers and spray painted stencils.
