"PinMame is a combination of emulator and simulator. The software emulates the computer inside the pinball machine (to react on bumpers, flippers and display the scores) but simulates the playfield with a digital ball reacting to programmed physics."
I think this is only partually true. PinMAME is a true emulator. The simulation of the playfield and physics is done with Visual Pinball. I'm not sure what the connection to "Visual PinMAME" is though.
