Exacto blade
Is there a more generic term for an exacto? I think exacto is a brand? It is not a common term in Europe as far as I know. I guess it is sort of a scalpel like hobby-knife? I mean, it becomes clear from the text what it is, but the audience for this Wiki isn't american persé. Felsir 05:26, 3 March 2006 (EST)
I used to work in a sign shop in Ireland, and we called then xacto's there too. Maybe "utility knife" would be a more generic term??? --JoyMonkey 05:53, 3 March 2006 (EST)
Utility knife is NOT the same as an exacto. Utility knives are big & bulky... at least in the states. Hobby-knife might be a more wide-spread term, but xacto is pretty damn specific. Perhaps just a link to the glossary definition..
Yeah an entry and link to the glossary and perhaps an image would do just fine. Felsir 13:39, 3 March 2006 (EST)
